National register of historic places put Kutz Mill on its register in 1990.
The paperwork says the mill was built around 1854 and the house in 1855, both built by then Miller and proprietor, Jacob Kutz. I believe this Miller was Jacob Philip Kutz.
He was William P. Kutz's father. William P. Kutz appears in photos below with his family. For some time, in the 1800's William's younger brother Charles Edwin Kutz is said to have run the mill, but when he died in the late 1800's, his estate was sold and William, his brother is believed to have taken over the farm and mill until his death in 1938.

Miller's house from a distance
Here are some of the local fellows hanging out at the mill. This is the doorway facing the road on the second story. I believe I see a young Adam Kohler and I am sure William Philip Kutz is there with his usual hat and moustache somewhere amongst them.
In this recent above photo you can almost see all the same stones, still darker than the rest in the same pattern today as over 100 years ago.

Here is Jacob Kutz, who had the Mill and Miller's house built:
Photos is unlabeled, so corrections are welcome.
Ida D. Kutz (Jacob's granddaughter) never married and lived in the Miller's house her whole life. She worked at a local knitting mill.
Ida's brother, Pius William Kutz married Hilda Ella Merkel.
Below is Pius Henry Kutz and his wife Hilda Ella Merkel around 1917.
They had one child, Lee William Kutz, who never married. He was a farmer in Greenwich Township, on a farm up the road from Kutz's Mill.
Would this be Jacob Kutz IV who built the mill?
